We have projects and partnerships starting Memorial Day and wrapping up on Labor Day.

Summer of serve drives

Throughout Summer of Serve we will be hosting drives to serve different organizations in the community!


Daybreak LifeCare Center

We will be supporting Daybreak LifeCare Center by collecting spare change, NEW car seats, diapers, and wet wipes. Daybreak is dedicated to walking alongside mothers who experienced unplanned pregnancies.

All proceeds and items go directly to mothers in need of essential items.

Dates: May26 - June
Items: provided baby Bottles filled with change, new car seats, diapers, and wet wipes


Serve Day OUTREACHEs
(June 27)

Our Serve Day is on June 27th at 9 am. All teams will meet at the GraceLife Building before heading out to their locations. Join us for any of the following projects:


Royal Pines Block Party (The Columbia Dream Center) 

We will be partnering with The Columbia Dream Center to host a Block party at the Royal Pines neighborhood (behind Fresh Market on Two Notch Rd) , we will be giving away groceries, serving hotdogs, providing kids activities and much more!

Location: Neighborhood near gracelife (address sent to sign-ups)
Children Welcome: Yes (We recommend 10 and older and any children must stay with parents at all times)

Downtown Outreach (The Columbia Dream Center)

We will be partnering with The Columbia Dream Center to serve people who are experiencing homelessness. We will walk downtown and hand out snacks, drinks, and other donations to people experiencing homelessness. We will also offer conversation and prayer! 13 and older are welcome (anyone under 13 must have transportation worked out by their parents).

Toiletry Packing for The Columbia Dream Center

We will be packing toiletry items for The Columbia Dream Center that can be used to help families and individuals in the Columbia area. Kids welcome.

Richland Village Block Party (The Columbia Dream Center) 

We will be partnering with The Columbia Dream Center at Richland Village! We will have a cookout, give away groceries and free food and partner with local law enforcement to help build community relationships!!

Location: garners ferry area (address sent to sign-ups)
Children Welcome: Students 13 and older may serve without a guardian, but must work out their transportation. Any student under 13 may serve with a parent

TIME: 9am @ GraceLife. After a brief message we will gather at the address sent out 

**Please note this outreach happens in the afternoon.


Ronald McDonald House

We will be making grab-and-go snack packs for people with a loved one in the hospital! Our packs will go to The Ronald McDonald House to help make the long hospital visits a little easier and to share God's love in a tangible way! This is a GREAT outreach for all ages!  Kids are welcome to serve with their parents! (No drop-offs please)

First Responders

We will be creating gift bags for our First Responders!  This is a perfect family outreach! We have things for all ages! We will write cards, put together gift bags, and decorate pictures for our First Responders! It is a great way to show God's love in a tangible way! 

We will also accept homemade baked goods (cookies & brownies) to go into the gift bags. Have other obligations and can’t come? No worries… You can still contribute by dropping off baked goods for our first responders and their families! We just ask you to drop them off on Serve Day at 9:00am on June 27th, or at GraceLife on the 26th (Coordinate with Karen Wilson (803)729-1670).

Transitions Homeless Center: Kitchen Clean-Up

We will be serving at Transitions Homeless Shelter! We will be helping the staff at Transitions by cleaning their Kitchen to ensure the meals are prepared in a clean and hospitable workspace. This is appropriate for 13 and older.

Transitions Homeless Center: Yard Work

We will be serving at Transitions Homeless Shelter! We will join with the staff at Transitions to help with things like yard work and general cleanup. This is appropriate for children 13 and older.

Oliver Gospel Thrifts (Two Notch)

We will be sorting donations for the Oliver Gospel Mission Thrift Store.

Oliver Gospel is a community-based mission that helps those who are unhoused, in poverty, or addiction transform their lives through physical, spiritual, and relational support so that they can lead full, healthy lives.

Providence Home

GraceLife is partnering with Providence Home to help with improvements outside their facility. Providence Home’s mission is to help stabilize the living conditions of dislocated men and to encourage progress in realizing their full personal potential in self-sufficient living through Jesus.

Daybreak LifeCare Center

We will be partnering with Daybreak LifeCare Center to help with yard work! This is the same organization that we are supporting the with the baby bottle drive during the first month of Summer of Serve. Daybreak's mission is to walk alongside women with unplanned pregnancies and provide support.  This project will create a clean and welcoming environment for the people who work at Daybreak LifeCare Center as well as the clients who come through!

Bookman Elementary School

Join us as we serve one of our local elementary schools by helping refresh and beautify their campus. Volunteers will assist with trimming shrubs, spreading mulch, and completing other light landscaping tasks to help create a welcoming environment for students, teachers, and families. We have been honored to partner with this school for several years, and we're excited to continue supporting them through this annual project. No special experience is required—just a willingness to serve.
